Evidence and commentary:
Evidence #1: “What if Killer Kane hears I was messing with his kid? No thank you” (Philbrick 70).
Evidence #2: “Killer Kane. What a tough hombre he was” (Philbrick 70).
These two excerpts from the text explains that Killer Kane is a little like an idol of Iggy’s life. Iggy probably wants to be as bad as Kane was.

I think that Max’s dad might have escaped from jail, and that he snuck into the down under to see Max. The reason I think this is because of all the things going on with Max like how his dad requested something for Max to hear. I bet Kenny really missed his child, so that’s why he would be in his room: he doesn’t want to wait for what the parole board has to say. In conclusion, this evidence shows why I think Max’s dad is visiting him.
